We are a church whose mission is to connect people in the University of Arizona community and surrounding greater Tucson area with Jesus Christ. Our members have a passion for living for Christ, telling others the good news of Jesus Christ, and providing a place for Christ-centered community.

We are the host church of Christian Challenge UA, which is the collegiate ministry branch of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention. 

Johnathan Chan – Lead Pastor

Johnathan has been in the pastoral ministry in Tucson for over 14 years, after working as a software engineer for IBM for 4 years. In additional to serving as the pastor, he also oversees the Christian Challenge ministry at the UA. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Gateway Seminary and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BS in Computer Science and BS in Management Information Systems. He and his wife Kelly (also an M.Div graduate of Gateway and BS graduate of the UA) have four young children.

Hugo Cheung

Hugo is helping with the Chinese speaking ministry of C3. The university draws a large number of Chinese-speaking international students and residents, and our church has a love for them to be cared for and to hear about Jesus! He earned his Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary. He also earned his Masters and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He currently works for Texas Instruments as a manager of research and development in the Tucson division. He and his wife Yvonne have four children.
